Devoted supporters of the actress are calling for that a man who jumped a fence and touched the performer during Thursday's Wicked: For Good launch be arrested or expelled from Singapore.

A circulating clip shows the Australian man shoving aside photographers and rushing toward Grande while the actors proceeded down a event pathway surrounded by supporters.

Cast member Cynthia Erivo quickly guided the surprised actress away from Mr Wen, who was spotted being led away of the gathering by guards.

Mr Wen stated on Instagram Thursday evening that he was "free after being arrested", though official papers showed that he was set to be present on the next day. It is not clear if he was formally accused.

Record of Event Invasions

This is part of a pattern for Mr Wen, who describes himself as a "Controversial Figure", has invaded a performance. His Instagram profile contains recordings of him interrupting other celebrity events, including jumping on stage at the artist's Sydney show in recently and in a comparable manner during The Chainsmokers performance in the area last winter.

"There needs to be action taken against him as this is clearly a legal violation," commented an Instagram commenter, in a message to a video Mr Wen shared of his actions.

"This appears to be a habit... why are you not imprisoned?" another Instagram user remarked.

Fans Voice Worry Over Grande's Past Trauma

Several followers criticized Mr Wen for "causing further distress" Grande, who had revealed experiencing PTSD after a devastating incident at the end of her 2017 performance in Manchester, resulting in the death of 22 people and injuring hundreds.

"After everything she's faced... including the Manchester attack, you considered it entertaining to rush the barrier?" commented a further comment on Instagram.

Some supporters also faulted guards at the premiere for not being sufficiently alert; while different individuals requested online networks to ban Mr Wen's videos.

Aftermath and Event Details

In clips shared widely, Grande looked shocked when she was approached by the man. Her co-stars Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be observed comforting her while Mr Wen was led out by guards.

Grande has remained silent on the situation, and the premiere activities carried on uninterrupted.

Hundreds of attendees had congregated in a crowd of green and pink at the Wicked: For Good Asia-Pacific debut in a Singapore shopping center, including several who had queued for as long as many hours before it began.

The motion picture, to be launched on 21 November, is the second of a two-film adaptation of the acclaimed Broadway and West End musical Wicked, which revolves around the unlikely bond between two very different characters.

The show itself is a derivative of the twentieth-century story The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who plays the character Glinda Glinda, was dressed in a light pink sequin dress at the premiere while Erivo, who portrays the villainous character, wore a elegant ensemble featuring roses.

They were joined by co-star Jeff Goldblum.

The first movie, Wicked, was the highest-grossing film of the previous year in the UK, and earned a dozen Academy Award nods, earning several for best costume and production design.
