Prosecutors report that a ex- physician now faces charges for committing sexual assaults involving thirty-eight victims who were under his care.

The Grave Charges

The accused, Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham faces allegations of numerous acts of sexual assault – comprising acts against minors under the age of thirteen – spanning the period from 2017 and 2021.

A deputy chief prosecutor said, “Our prosecutors have diligently worked to support a thorough and intricate police inquiry, carefully reviewing the available evidence to establish that there is sufficient evidence to proceed to trial and that it is in the interest of justice.”

The Investigation

These allegations follow what police called a “detailed inquiry” into alleged sexual offences at medical facilities: a hospital in Stoke-on-Trent and a facility in Dudley.

Spencer is scheduled to appear at the North Staffordshire justice centre on January 20th.
